How to sell an online course without a website

You do not need a website or a course platform to sell your first course in India. You need the lessons, a place buyers can watch them, a price and a way to take UPI. This guide shows two simple ways to put it together.

Decide the shape of the course

Buyers finish short courses. Before recording, write down one result the buyer will have at the end, such as "a portfolio with three case studies" or "a loaf of sourdough that rises". Then cut everything that does not lead there.

  • 5 to 12 lessons of 5 to 15 minutes each is a good size for a first course.
  • Give each lesson a number and a plain title, such as "3. Feeding the starter".
  • Add one worksheet or checklist PDF that buyers can keep.
  • Record on your phone in good light. Clear sound matters more than a fancy camera.

Choose where the lessons live

There are two simple ways. Pick one.

WayHow it worksGood for
Unlisted videosUpload the lessons to YouTube as unlisted, put them in a playlist, and sell the playlist link. Anyone with the link can watch.Long video courses, any plan
FilesUpload the lesson videos and the worksheet as files. Buyers download them.Short courses and PDF courses. Video files need Pro

An unlisted link can be passed on by a buyer, and a downloaded file can be shared. Most course sellers accept this and keep their best help, such as feedback on homework, for buyers only.

Price it

Courses from Indian creators usually cost more than a single PDF and less than a live class. Our sample pages use ₹1,299 for a baking course and ₹1,499 for a Figma basics course. How to price a digital product in India explains how to pick your number.

Set it up on Tapyoka

  1. Open Products and choose New product. Name it after the result, for example "Bake at home, 8 lessons".
  2. Under What is it? choose Digital and set the Price in rupees.
  3. In the Description, list the lessons by number, so buyers see what they get.
  4. Under How buyers get it, choose Share a link and paste the playlist link, then Check link. Or choose Upload files and Add files. On Free you can add 3 files of up to 25 MB each; Pro allows 20 files of up to 1 GB, including video.
  5. Use Note for buyers (optional) for how to start, for example "Start with lesson 1. The worksheet is the last file."
  6. Choose Save and activate, then add it to your page with Add product and press Publish.

Buyers get a receipt by email and can come back to everything they bought at staging.tapyoka.com/me. The full steps are in Add a product.

Good to know

Tapyoka does not have lessons, modules or lessons that open week by week. A course here is a product with files or one link. If you need quizzes or certificates, a course platform is the better tool.

Adding live help

A course sells better with a way to ask questions. Two options that work today: a paid 30 minute review call as a booking, or a monthly members group for students. See How to take paid coaching calls with UPI and How to sell a paid WhatsApp or Telegram community.
