Privacy policy

How Tapyoka handles personal data under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

Last updated 19 October 2026

What we collect

Account data: your email address, name and, if you sell, your phone number, PAN and bank details for payouts.

Page content: everything you choose to show on your public page.

Buyer data: name, email or phone number and what was bought, so the seller can deliver and we can send a receipt.

Form data: details a visitor types into a seller’s form, with their consent shown on the form.

Visit counts: we count views and clicks without cookies. A visitor is counted with a code that changes every day and cannot be turned back into an IP address.

Why we use it

To run your account and page, take payments, pay sellers, send receipts, stop fraud and abuse, meet tax and legal duties, and answer your questions.

We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

The seller you buy from or send a form to.

Service providers who help us run the service, such as hosting, payments and email, under contracts that limit what they can do with it.

Authorities, when the law requires it.

Where it is stored

Data is stored with our hosting provider in the Asia Pacific region. Indian law allows this today. If that changes, we will move the data as the law requires.

How long we keep it

Account data stays while your account is open and for up to 90 days after you close it.

Payment and tax records are kept for 8 years because the law requires it.

Visit counts are kept as totals and the daily visitor code is deleted after 2 days.

Reports and records of removed content are kept for 180 days.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. You can withdraw consent you gave, for example on a seller’s form.

You can name someone to act for you if you die or cannot act yourself.

If you are not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Children

You must be 18 or older to make a page or sell. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
