How to use it.

  1. Type your text

    Your name, your trade or a short line. Keep it short, styled letters are harder to read in long lines.

  2. Pick a style

    Each style is made of special characters, not a real font, so it pastes into any app that takes text.

  3. Copy and paste

    Tap Copy next to the style and paste it into your bio. Check how it looks on your profile before you save.

Questions people ask

How do these fonts work on Instagram?

They are not fonts. Each letter is swapped for a look alike character from the Unicode set, which Instagram shows like any other text.

Can screen readers read them?

Not well. Many screen readers spell styled letters out one by one, read them as maths symbols or skip them. The styles marked Hard for screen readers are the worst. Keep your name, what you sell and how to reach you in plain text.

Will styled text show up in search?

Usually not. Instagram and Google match plain letters, so someone searching for your name may not find a styled version of it.

Why do some letters not change?

Some styles do not have every letter or number in Unicode. Those characters stay as they are.
