How to sell Lightroom presets and templates

Presets and templates are popular first products for photographers, designers and planners, because you have usually made them already for your own work. The tricky part is packaging: the file types differ, and buyers need to know how to install them.

Package the files

What you sellHow to package it
Lightroom mobile presetsOne DNG file per preset, all in a ZIP, or in a shared Google Drive folder
Lightroom desktop presetsXMP files in a ZIP, or a shared folder
Canva templatesA Canva template link, which buyers copy to their own account
Resume or invoice templatesWord, Excel or PowerPoint files, or a PDF with the template link inside
Notion or Google Sheets plannersA duplicate or "make a copy" link

Always add a short install guide as a PDF or a short video: where to tap, in which app, and how to apply the preset or copy the template. Most refund requests for presets come from buyers who could not install them.

Which file types you can upload

On Tapyoka, uploads are checked by type. On Free you can upload documents (PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, text), images (JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF) and audio. ZIP files and design files need Pro. DNG and XMP preset files cannot be uploaded on their own, so put them in a ZIP on Pro, or share a folder link on any plan.

Set it up

  1. Open Products, choose New product, and name it with the count: "Moody food presets, 12 pack".
  2. Choose Digital under What is it? and set the price. Our sample page sells Lightroom presets for ₹499.
  3. Under How buyers get it, either Upload files (the ZIP and the install PDF) or Share a link to the folder or template link, then Check link.
  4. In the Description, say which app and version it works with, such as "Lightroom mobile, free version".
  5. Add a cover that shows before and after photos. Choose Save and activate and add it to your page.
Good to know

A shared folder link works for anyone who has it, so a buyer can pass it on. If that worries you, upload the ZIP on Pro instead, where each download link expires after 24 hours and each file has a download limit.

Show the result, not the file

Post the same photo with and without the preset in a reel, and pin a comment that the pack is in your bio. For templates, show a finished example. How to price a digital product in India helps with the price.
