How home chefs sell recipe books and take tiffin orders

Home chefs have two kinds of followers: people nearby who want to eat your food, and people far away who want to cook it. This guide shows how to serve both from one link, with tiffin orders on WhatsApp and a recipe book as a PDF.

Sell a recipe book

  • Pick one theme, such as "Gujarati thali at home" or "Diwali sweets", with 15 to 30 recipes.
  • Write the quantities in cups and spoons as well as grams, and add a photo of each dish.
  • Sell it as a product, such as ₹249. Buyers get the file after payment.

How to sell a PDF from your Instagram bio covers pricing and delivery in detail.

Show your latest recipe video

Add a Latest YouTube video block and choose Find channel. Your newest upload shows on your page and changes by itself when you post again. For one to one online classes, add a booking service, such as "1:1 cooking class, online".

Food rules

Selling cooked food may need FSSAI registration. Check what applies to you before you take orders, and show your number on your page once you have it. Write your allergy note and your cut off time for orders in the catalog description.
